Roman Empire, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A green glass jug form with a spherical body showing a faint ribbed pattern, a slender cylindrical neck, and a trefoil spout, with an elegant trail of glass for the handle joining the shoulder to the back of the lip. The underside is dimpled with a broken pontil. Beyond its impressive form is the inherent beauty of the glass which has developed marvelous iridescence over the years Size: 3.25" W x 3.875" H (8.3 cm x 9.8 cm)
