Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A hemispherical glass bowl, miniscule in form and pale-green in color, with a rounded base, rolling walls, and a thin rim. Areas of fiery rainbow-hued iridescence detail the exterior surface, though this most certainly does not detract from but rather amplifies the delicate and beautiful nature of this vessel. Size: 2.75" Diameter (7 cm).

Provenance: private Orange County, California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
