Description:

Roman Empire, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. This diminutive translucent pale green glass vessel has an elongated teardrop-shaped body which is wider around the middle than either and thicker on the bottom. It also has a narrow neck, flared rim, and two applied trail handles. Silvery iridescence shows brightly on the body and neck. A vessel like this would have been used to hold precious liquids like oils and perfumes and was a treasured item in many Roman households. Size: 3.25" L x 1.625" W (8.3 cm x 4.1 cm).
