Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely free-blown glass vessel of pale blue-green hues, presenting an apple-shaped body upon a dimpled base with a broken pontil scar, a tubular neck that flares to a broad mouth with a folded rim. What's more, marvelous passages of fiery rainbow iridescence in ice blue, aqua, green, pink, and purple hues embellish this piece. Size: 4.75" H (12.1 cm)

  • Condition: Small intersecting (star-like) pressure fissures on side wall. Indentation to lower side wall (occurred when created in antiquity). Areas of earthen and mineral deposits as well as root marks grace the surface. Gorgeous iridescence as well!
