Ancient Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd period CE. A lovely free-blown glass unguent with a teardrop-shaped body on a subtly dimpled base, a long, cylindrical neck, and flat folded rim. The original color of the glass seems to be green; however, most of the surface is covered with amazing silvery, golden, and rainbow iridescence. Just gorgeous! Size: 1.5" W at its widest point x 4.375" H (3.8 cm x 11.1 cm)

Provenance: private New Jersey USA collection, acquired over twenty years ago
