Description:

Roman, late Imperial period, possibly Gallo-Roman or Frankish, ca. 3rd to 6th century CE. A dazzling jar, free-blown from blue green glass to present a rounded base and a sharp shoulder that slopes inward to an attenuated neck and a flared rim. Sparkling layers of violet and rainbow iridescence envelop the glass surface, imbuing it with an opulent presentation evocative of ancient Rome. Size: 3.5" Diameter x 5" H (8.9 cm x 12.7 cm)
