Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A beautiful, translucent, emerald-green glass goblet with a concave foot with a rolled rim and a rough pontil scar. The cup itself rests atop the foot with rolled walls, a shallow interior cavity, and a flared collared rim. The vessel's rich color is further emphasized by thick, fiery areas of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence in hues of amethyst, citrine, emerald, sapphire, ruby, and topaz. A fabulous example!
