Description:

Roman, Imperial period, ca. 3rd to 4th century CE. A gorgeous mold-formed glass flask boasting a translucent hue of pale turquoise. The ancient vessel exhibits an apple-form body supported by a circular, concave base, a broad shoulder, and a narrow neck that expands outwards to a wide, lipped rim. Twelve lovely vertical ribs decorate the globular body, while a fine horizontal band is featured midway up the conical neck. The exterior showcases a fiery iridescence of silvery and rainbow hues. A stunning example replete with skilled artistry! Size: 3.25" in diameter x 5" H (8.3 cm x 12.7 cm)

  • Condition: Hairline fissure on bottom giving it a fragile base. Expected minor abrasions and light weathering film mostly on interior. Otherwise, excellent with light earthen deposits throughout and fabulous silver and rainbow iridescence.
