Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful yellow hued glass cup that sits on a flat discoid foot with a bell-shaped body. The walls rise up to a flared rim with four wheel-cut grooves encircling the exterior of the lower, upper, and rim areas of the vessel. The glass on the body is translucent with flecks of rainbow iridescence that developed with age. An attractive piece of glassware that was used for Roman dining! Size: 3.5" W x 3.5" H (8.9 cm x 8.9 cm)
