Description:

Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st century CE. A gorgeous cup formed from semi-transparent glass of a golden-yellow hue. The cup has tall, lightly convex walls, a thin rim with a ground lip, and a deep interior, all upon a petite base with a smooth pontil scar. A trio of smooth wheel-cut striations embellish the exterior surface, and several thinner striations are shown in-between. Thick, fiery layers of breathtaking iridescence envelop the entire cup in silvery, rainbow, and golden hues which elegantly complement the soft marigold body. Size: 2.7" W x 3.5" H (6.9 cm x 8.9 cm).
