Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. 4th century CE. A lovely glass cup formed from beautiful yellow-green glass with four dark cobalt-blue glass appliques applied equidistantly around the body. The vessel form is comprised of an inverted bell-shaped body, a gently out-curved rim, and a fire-polished lip - all atop a flat bottom. In addition, the vessel presents attractive translucence in areas and lovely passages of rainbow iridescence. Size: 2.375" H (6 cm)
