Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 3rd century CE. A beautiful pattern-molded glass vessel taking the form of a large bunch of grapes, the body accentuated by dozens of protruding nodules. The base of the neck is slightly compacted and overhanging while the slender neck and flared rim with in-folded lip create a sense of elegance. The yellow-hued glass has developed a wondrous layer of golden iridescence along one side of the body, and scattered areas of rainbow-hued iridescence imbue the vessel with even greater opulence. Size: 2.5" L x 2.62" W x 5.13" H (6.4 cm x 6.7 cm x 13 cm)
