Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A pretty apple-shaped body with a convex base and a long, tapering neck; the rim is rolled outward and flattened. Small twisted, pinched decorations rise from the glass around the fattest part of the lower body. Most of the body is slightly roughed up to give it a matte appearance; the rim is smooth. The design is interesting and was probably made to hold some kind of liquid that its owner did not want to evaporate, like a perfume. Size: 2.75" W x 4" H (7 cm x 10.2 cm)
