Roman, Eastern Empire, Israel, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A free-blown glass beaker shaped from nearly-transparent glass of a soft yellow hue with delicately thin walls and a slightly concave base. Two sets of wheel-cut striations are visible along the midsection and upper body, and a single striations is cut within the slightly corseted recess beneath the rim. Soft rainbow iridescence has developed over the centuries across the vessel and creates an attractive presentation. Size: 3" W x 4.75" H (7.6 cm x 12.1 cm)
