Description:

Ancient Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st century CE. A graceful vessel comprised of stunning cobalt blue translucent glass, its form presenting a compressed spherical body that extends into a long tubular neck with a splayed lip and folded rim. A fine trail of glass was carefully and evenly wrapped horizontally around the entire body of the vessel from the underside to the base of the neck and possibly beyond, though the design grows fainter. There are also signs of some threads moving in a vertical direction up the neck of the vessel. What's more, internal iridescence adds to the aesthetic of this vessel. Size: 2.625" in diameter at widest point x 4" H (6.7 cm x 10.2 cm)
