Late Roman to Byzantine, ca. 5th to 7th century CE. A cast bronze scale beam decorated with a cross as a finial and an ornate handle below it. Also two small hammered bronze bowls. Probably made for measuring medicine. Size of beam: 6.45" W x 2.45" H (16.4 cm x 6.2 cm); size of largest bowl: 2.2" W x 0.25" H (5.6 cm x 0.6 cm)
