Rome, ca. 4th - 5th century CE. A Roman bronze spoon and bronze brooch fitting. Bronze spoon has wide slightly concave bowl, with long shaft, twisted at the middle, and flat end. A nice zigzag pattern is incised on top of shaft. Appears to have possibly been gilded. Second is a an interesting brooch fitting, circular in design with cross in center. Middle of brooch is open for mounting with pin. Beautiful green patina. 7-1/4"L & 2-1/4"D. Provenance: Ex-Private Atlanta, GA Collection.
