Pre-Columbian, Northern Highlands Peru, Ancash region, Recuay culture, ca. 200 BCE to 600 CE. A man and a llama, standing on their respective legs while being conjoined at the waist. The anthropomorphic figure presents with vibrant red stripes on his body and face, a brimmed hat atop his head, and large earspools adorning his visage. Conversely the llama exhibits intricate black motifs atop the cream-hued body, with its charming head raised and alert, and with a wide spout attached to its hind quarters. Size: 5" L x 3.7" W x 5.625" H (12.7 cm x 9.4 cm x 14.3 cm)
