Description:

Russia, Western Siberia, Yamal Peninsula and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (District), Permian Animal Style / Early Viking Rus, ca. 5th to 10th century CE. A large and finely-detailed bronze pendant with twin tubular and vertically-ribbed suspension bars. The body is comprised of several braided, circular, and serpentine wires, is relatively ovoid in composition, and has emerald-green patina build-up across all visible surfaces. Thirteen dangling duck-foot adornments hang from a similar number of integral suspension loops, though portions of two additional loops and duck feet are missing. Suspension cord for photography purposes only. Size: 3" H (7.6 cm).
