Roman, Imperial period, Eastern Mediterranean, ca. 2nd century CE. An exquisite Roman mold-blown glass vessel in the form of a grape cluster, crafted with a realistic greenish-yellow tint. This vessel features a cylindrical neck, a flat rim, and a beautifully molded body resembling a cluster of grapes - an homage to the importance of wine in Roman culture. The surface displays areas of iridescence and encrustation, highlighting its age and authenticity. Size: 5" H (12.7 cm); 6" H (15.2 cm) on included custom stand.
