Pre-Columbian, Southern Peru, ca. 400 to 200 BCE.  Among some of the earliest textiles surviving from this arid and remarkable region.  Strip of textile woven in green, gold, red and gray with human forms and geometric patterns.  Custom framed and ready to hang!  Textile itself measures 16" L x 1-3/4" W; frame measures 28-3/4" L x 15-1/2" W. Provenance: Ex-private Westermann collection, Germany, collected in the 1950s.
