Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Olmec, ca. 1200 to 600 BCE. A rare and beautiful jade amulet with a geometric spiral motif in the center. The stone itself is quite pretty, a light seafoam green with pink inclusions. Displaying a rectangular form, the center is hand-carved and features concentric circles with the outmost curves forming volutes. The pendant is hand-drilled through the top for suspension and could be worn alone or strung with other beads! Size: 1.5" L x 1.75" W (3.8 cm x 4.4 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
