United States, Native American, Stone County, Arkansas, ca. 1200 to 1400 CE. A rare pottery vessel of an abstract calabash form made from shell-burnished clay. The vessel features a large, spherical body, a thin neck, and three squash-shaped legs. What truly sets this vessel apart is the rare "blonde" coloration.
