Description:

Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Inca, ca. 1300 to 1500 CE. A very rare stone bead created by the Inca, finely carved with a human figure in a prayerful pose as well as a coiled snake. The facial features and limbs of the shaman or ruler are expertly delineated as is the wonderfully sinuous form of the serpent. In addition, the stone is inherently beautiful, presenting rich mauve, gray, and white hues. A special piece, impressive for its artistry, technique, and iconography! Size: .875" deep x 1.5" W (2.2 cm x 3.8 cm)
