Description:

Near East, Holyland, ca. late first millennium BCE. A delicate, thin-walled skyphos, a dual-handled, deep cup with a low flanged base, used for drinking wine. This example has narrow incised bands around its lower body and down the exterior lengths of its handles. The skyphos form came from Greece but spread throughout the Mediterranean world. Size: 5.85" W x 2.25" H (14.9 cm x 5.7 cm)
