Description:

Greece, Hellenistic, ca. 2nd to 1st century BCE. A deep, voluminous bowl of an elegant form, comprised of golden, caramel-hued glass with a wheel-polished interior and fire-polished exterior. One band of deep wheel-cut grooves at the upper end of the bowl, while another fainter band at the lower end graces the piece. Areas of iridescence shimmer around the interior of the rim. Size: 5.75" in diameter x 3.5" H (14.6 cm x 8.9 cm)
