Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Chorrera culture, ca. 9th to 4th century BCE. A rare example of a hand-built and highly burnished pottery stamp seal of rectangular form with a conical handle on top for easy use. Inscribed on the stamp face is an elaborate geometric scene that perhaps depicts a pair of abstract zoomorphs, one encircled with a serrated border and the other with relatively smooth borders. Size: 2.875" L x 2.7" W x 2.75" H (7.3 cm x 6.9 cm x 7 cm)
