Description:

Pre-Columbian, Chancay culture, Peru, ca. 1200 to 1450 CE. A flat pottery female figure with exaggerated genitalia and hands raised to her stomach, possibly suggesting pregnancy. She wears a flat headdress and some kind of painted necklace in red, black, and cream. These small flat figures seem to have been made exclusively to be placed into graves, although their purpose is unknown. Only one side is decorated. Size: 3.35" L x 1.6" W (8.5 cm x 4.1 cm)
