Description:

Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Coastal Manabi Province, Bahia, ca. 100 to 500 CE. A very rare and endearing prone female figure from the coastal Manabi Province of ancient Ecuador. She lays on her belly with her arms crossed and legs spread behind, her magnificent head propped up and facing forward with a slight lean to the left. Her visage projects a rather peaceful countenance with nearly closed coffee bean shaped eyes, a petite nose, and a smile. She wears a sizeable, smooth, domed headdress adorned with three circular appliques, a shell-shaped comb on the backside, and large round earspools. A beautiful and tranquil figure! Size: 3.5" L x 3" H (8.9 cm x 7.6 cm)
