Description:

Central Asia, Bactrian, ca. 1st millennium BCE. With a gorgeous silvery green patina, this is a cast bronze bell with an iron clapper that still rings with a beautiful, clear sound. The conical body of the bell has raised bosses and circular patterns on its shoulder in addition to a sturdy loop for suspension that rises from the flat top. The shape of the iron clapper is remarkably well preserved, despite the patina on its surface. Size: 2.25" W x 3.5" H (5.7 cm x 8.9 cm)
