Africa, Nigeria, Bura culture, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. Rare pottery effigy of an anteater called a pangolin - native to this region of Africa. Simple and somewhat crude, but extremely rare. TL results show this was fired in antiquity. Size: 8" L x 3.25" H (20.3 cm x 8.3 cm)
