Description:

North America, United States, Civil War era, ca. 1861 to 1865 CE. A fanstastic cavalry half lance that is comprised of a wooden shaft and a carbon steel tip. The pole is stamped with "US" near the center. Interestingly, pole-arms were rarely used in the American Civil War, most of the battles were fought with infantry and lances were good only when charging in on horses, and were burdensome over rough terrain. Size: 55.5" L x 1.25" W (141 cm x 3.2 cm)
