Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A beautiful, free-blown glass cup formed from semi-translucent, pale-green glass with a petite base and smooth pontil scar. The hemispheric body boasts a wide set of wheel-etched striations along the midsection as well as a singular striation just beneath the lightly-flared rim. Thick areas of rainbow-hued iridescence cover most of the body with patches of golden iridescence scattered throughout. Size: 3.625" W x 2.5" H (9.2 cm x 6.4 cm).
