Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. Rare to find matched pairs, and even more rare and very desirable when you find ones that are published! Fine white-slipped male and female figures. Female with large, albeit slightly misplaced, breasts holding olla on her left shoulder. She is enhanced with added red pigments including her long necklace with shell pendant and the olla upon her shoulder. Male stands with loin cloth covering his genitalia, right hand on his upper thigh, left hand holds a rounded object, possibly a ball from the ballgames. He too wears a similar necklace and pendant. Size: 5.375" W x 7" H (13.7 cm x 17.8 cm)
