Description:

**Originally Listed At $1800**

Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Proto Nazca, ca. 500 to 300 BCE. An intriguing textile panel of a rectangular form, comprised of tightly-woven camelid (alpaca or llama wool) fibers in hues of crimson, citrine, and golden-yellow. The panel exhibits ten highly-abstract anthropomorphic figures with spiraling, wing-like arms, petite heads, and wide feet, with each row alternating between red and yellow base colors. Set against a black backing, this is a wonderful and colorful example of Proto-Nazca artistry! Mounted against a fabric backing. Size (textile): 35" L x 13.5" W (88.9 cm x 34.3 cm); size (backing): 51" L x 28.25" W (129.5 cm x 71.8 cm).
