Description:

North America, Native American, US Southwest, New Mexico, Roosevelt County, Anasazi, ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. A lovely pottery vessel, formed via the Puebloan coil-and-scrape technique, with an apple-shaped body, a round but stable base, and a squat rim. The white-ground exterior is decorated with applied black pigment in a repeating pattern of spiraling tendrils, each with a step-shaped terminal. A solid ring of black pigment encircles the base, and a repeating fret motif encircles the rim. Size: 7.64" W x 5.7" H (19.4 cm x 14.5 cm)
