Native American, Southwestern United States, Rio Grande region, ca. 1275 to 1450. A lovely pottery bowl enveloped in chalky-white slip and hand-painted with abstract designs in hues of black and orange. Sitting upon a rounded base, the hemispherical vessel boasts a deep interior basin featuring a geometric motif of triangles, rectangles, and trapezoids, while the curved walls of the exterior are embellished by linear and stepped patterns. Size: 8.7" Diameter x 3.5" H (22.1 cm x 8.9 cm)
