Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, found in central eastern Arizona, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 1150 to 1250 CE. A Reserve style black-on-white bowl with a round and stable base, with a deep, hemispherical basin. The interior is slipped in white then painted with a stepped, triangular motif, the pigment is dark and well preserved. The Reserve black-on-white type is from the southern border of the Anasazi and the northern border of the Mogollon, representing a connection between the 2 cultures. Size: 9" Diameter x 3.75" H (22.9 cm x 9.5 cm)

Provenance: private New Jersey, USA collection; ex-Mark Brady collection, found by him at Old Platt Ranch, St. Johns, Arizona, USA
