Native American, Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi), Four Corners area, ca. 1075 to 1250 CE.A large black-on-white Anasazi "reserve" bowl created via the traditional coil and scrape technique, well polished, slipped, and presenting a pearly white surface with its interior walls beautifully decorated by two bands of alternating vertically and horizontally striated panels. A deep bowl like this was made for heating and serving food, and ultimately most likely served as a treasured grave good. Simple yet elegant - from the Anasazi! Size: 8.75" W x 4" H (22.2 cm x 10.2 cm)
