Native American, Southwestern United States, Colorado, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), Mesa Verde type, ca. 1200 to 1300 CE. A hand-built pottery ladle scoop sans handle. The white-ground interior surfaces are decorated with large, interconnected triangles with spiraling tendrils that coil up towards mirrored spirals hanging from the rim. Ladles like this were utilitarian tools used for preparing and serving food. Size: 4.7" L x 4.875" W x 2.75" H (11.9 cm x 12.4 cm x 7 cm)
