Native American, Southwestern United States, Southern Colorado Plateau, Anasazi / Ancestral Puebloans, Mesa Verde, ca. 1150 to 1350 CE. A hand coiled- black-on-white pottery cup with a handle. The linear pattern has a register encircling the body with circles around hourglass / bowtie shapes that are interestingly all solid black except for one. The hourglass symbol represents the twin War Gods or Hero Twins, the elder brother represented the Above, while the younger brother represented the Below, and they met in the middle. Size: 4.5" L x 3.5" Diameter x 3.25" H (11.4 cm x 8.9 cm x 8.3 cm)
