Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Mesa Verde region, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. A hand-built, white-ground bowl of hemispherical form with a round but stable base and a thick rim. The upper wall of the basin is decorated with parallel stripes of negative space within bands of black pigment, the lowest and highest of solid form, and with repeating black frets around the rim. Size: 7.64" Diameter x 3.5" H (19.4 cm x 8.9 cm)

  • Condition: Repaired with small chips and light adhesive residue along break lines. Abrasions and light fading to pigment, with some light pitting in scattered areas, otherwise in nice condition. Great preservation to motifs within basin.
