Description:

Native American, southwestern United States, Arizona, Upper Gila River region, Pueblo III, McDonald style, ca. 1200 to 1350 CE. An adorable pottery vessel in the form of a stylized rodent or feline, enveloped in incised fur and liberal remains of white pigment. Sitting upon a round yet stable base, the cute creature displays a bulbous, ovoid body with a perky tail extending from the posterior and a raised head that opens at the top to form the rim of the vessel. A pair of pointed ears flanks the rim, just above 2 large eyes, and an open mouth with an emerging tongue. Size: 8.6" L x 5.4" W x 7.1" H (21.8 cm x 13.7 cm x 18 cm)
