Native American, Southwestern United States, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 950 to 1200 CE. The elongated body rests on a rounded but stable base, and a rounded handle end projects upward from the body - reminiscent of a bird or duck. All embellishments are applied in black mineral paint atop a white-hued ground and are painted in the style of Chaco Canyon wares. Size: 7" L x 5" W x 4" H (17.8 cm x 12.7 cm x 10.2 cm)
