Pre-Columbian, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A pottery jar of white hue formed via the coil-and-scrape technique. The spherical body is adorned with hand-painted black quadrilateral forms separated by tight groupings of vertical stripes, their corners extended outwards, and this design carries up to the top of the rim. Size: 6.7" Diameter x 8.3" H (17 cm x 21.1 cm)
