Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 1075 to 1250 CE. A lovely hand-built pottery pitcher of a tall form with a round but stable base, an apple-shaped lower body with a carinated midsection, a tapered neck with a slightly flared rim, and a wide strap handle. The white-slipped vessel is elegantly decorated with four black-painted registers filled with negative-resist diamond patterns. Size: 5.25" W x 7.6" H (13.3 cm x 19.3 cm).
