Native American, Southwestern United States, possibly Mesa Verde region, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A pottery ladle of utilitarian form constructed via the coil-and-scrape technique to have a lengthy handle and a deep scoop basin. Painted along the basin walls are black triangular forms filled with lines, perhaps representing a solar motif. Size: 8.1" L x 4.2" W x 2.25" H (20.6 cm x 10.7 cm x 5.7 cm)
