Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE; Central Coast Peru, Chancay, ca. 800 to 1200 CE; Colombia, Narino, ca. 850 to 1500 CE. A gathering of 5 hand-built pottery vessels from across the ancient Pre-Columbian world. First is an apple-shaped Maya bottle with a pair of loop handles flanking a slightly flared spout. Next is a Chancay jar with a squat body and rim decorated with red, white, and black pigment. Last are 3 Narino jars of spherical form, each bearing remains of dark-hued negative resist motifs. Size of largest: 5.6" Diameter x 4.7" H (14.2 cm x 11.9 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-private Arkansas, USA collection, via descent in 2021; ex-private Florida estate, USA, acquired from the 1960s to 1970s
