Pre-Columbian, Gulf Coast of Mexico, Veracruz, ca. 3rd to 9th century CE. A pair of wearable necklaces strung with dozens of petite shell and stone beads, with one necklace adorned with petite turquoise spacer beads. Each necklace features discoid marine shell beads; the first features a dark central stone pendant with turquoise beads, and the longer necklace with some translucent quartz beads as well as petite beads with 'eyes.' Size (largest necklace): 25" L (63.5 cm); (largest bead): 0.53" W (1.3 cm)
