Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tairona culture, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A large, handsome gilded copper nose ring, made by twisting a solid, thick copper wire into a near-circular curve and then gilding it. Each end terminates in a thick, rounded butt. Size: 0.75" W (1.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Florida, USA collection of E. Sneed. Acquired from local estate compiled over 20 years prior
